Write a molecular equation for the precipitation reaction that occurs (if any) when the following solutions are mixed. If no reaction occurs, write NOREACTION. Are my answers below correct? I used the textbook

1. sodium chloride and lead (II) acetate

2,potassium sulfate and strontium iodide

3, chromium (III) nitrate and sodium phosphate

1. NaCl (aq) + Pb(CH3COO)2 (aq) —-> 2 Na(CH3COO) (aq) + PbCl2 (s)

2. K2SO4 (aq) + SrI2 (aq) —-> 2 KI (aq) + SrSO4 (s)

3. Cr(NO3)3 (aq) + Na3PO4 (aq) —-> 3 NaNO3 (aq) + CrPO4 (s)

My homework says that it is not formatted, are the phases ok? signs? it says it is wrong!!

These are molecular equations. The phases look ok to me. The soluble and insoluble materials look ok. The equations are balanced. I don’t see anything wrong with what you did. The only question I might have is that some acetates are weak electrolytes; however, lead acetate is quite soluble and I can’t see it other than aq.
